    @vinylvishnu11742:
    A “mod” is a modification. In other words, it’s when you take something that already exists (for example, a PC) and modify it to look or act differently.

    PS - the NES mod is my fav and I wish I had one.

    This has inspired me to make me own case mod. I’m going to put it inside a fridge freezer, and have my monitor in the freezer part.
    I’ll make sure the fridge still works so I can keep beer in it.

    Hi people, as an electronics tech -of course you gotta know I’ve done some amazing stuff in case mod/ swap/ and design since 1976…beginning with CB radio. BUT my favorite mod of all time, (was not a PC case, but an Amateur Radio mod) & is truly is a piece of work that serves an actual purpose for the rig.I did this MOD in 1987 I kept the same case of course– but added such a beautifully designed lower/ half cabinet, stenciled and painted to match orig. color with all the functional additions for the user that you can imagine that can be added to an Icom IC-740 Amateur Radio. Amateur Radio Operators know how good the receive is on this one- so I did it up and will never sell it. I also designed a PC board that functions as an AM Demodulator for (RX) to it. I bought it for a steal when my son was born, so that says something in itself. I will post this on Ham Radio sites as well, I just never got around to it. You guys want some PICS? I have pics that I took with a Canon AE-1 as It was coming along over a 2 month period. It’s not only a case mod -Use your imagination- but because I Stumbled upon this site for Case Mod’s, I will scan and post them here to share with all who are into RADIO and MODS. Peace All
