Modular seating furniture inspired by the Moon and elegant geometry of the traditional Chinese paper fan.
Created with adaptability in mind, the Moon Chair allows users to reshape its footprint by adjusting or combining components.
When paired with additional Moon Chairs or the larger Moon Bench, the pieces form creative seating landscape.
Moon Series featuring chair and bench designed by Christina Standaloft and Jay Jordan from Craft of Both and MADE.

Just as a fan expands outward through layered segments, the Moon Chair grows through modular additions that redefine its scale and orientation.

Supporting the chair is a rectilinear wooden seat frame, which anchors the seating surface and distributes weight through a set of angled legs.

Wooden ribs create a framework that appears delicate but is both sculptural and very stable.

Each piece acts as a fragment of a larger composition, allowing multiple chairs to be arranged together to form curved landscapes of seating.

The repeating fan structures influence how people sit, face one another, or carve out moments of privacy.

Light interacts beautifully with the Moon Chair. As sunlight passes through the layered ribs, it casts unique patterns across the floor.
