First? I always liked ikea’s stuffs

  2. Virginia

i like ikea’s stuff. i’m not so enamored with their huge stores. my nearest ikea store is the largest in the southern hemisphere. after hunting, often unsuccessfully, for whatever i want for an hour or more all i want to do is get out. unfortunately they have set up the store so that it’s a single path through the whole store with the ‘short cuts’ cleverly hidden. i’ve stopped shopping ikea unless there is something i know is there and i really really want it.

  3. chazzzz

wish all trains were like this

  4. Chris

    Great list!

I’m a bit of an Ikea addict, so I think these ads are great. The one that stands out most to me though is the one with the toolbelt. Simple, yet effective!

  5. Julie

That cinema catalogue would’ve just annoyed me tbh.
The rest’s kinda cool but I’m not the biggest fan of Ikea.

  6. sapphire

    I like the train!

  7. Gem

Isn’t the cinema catalogue thing illegal? That would have really aggravated me if I had paid to see a film and there was some pillock waving prices all over the screen.

  8. KitsuneCC

I agree, although Ikea is always making cool advertising, I´m not very sure the one in the cinema is very clever, I would also be pissed if prices where flying around in the middle of the movie, even if it´s for seconds, even though the intention was good hehe

  9. Stephanie Horn

My friends and I agree… having adverts pop up during a most would just be annoying. I much prefer the studio apartment in a box :)

  10. Reuben Lemer

I got all excited when I saw “IKEA World’s Biggest Rack” :( Damn it

  11. David

Final? Fool who’s very late on a tired meme?

the best one is missing: “Tag in facebook” is brilliant!

  14. occcu

There was a cool IKEA-Advertising in Chemnitz, Germany. In Front of the Karl-Marx-Monument there was built a big IKEA-catalogue with the title “Wie man gute Ideen erfolgreich umsetzt”, which means “How to realize good ideas successfully”.

    @ Gem
“Isn’t the cinema catalogue thing illegal?”
    annoying? possibly
illegal? Please tell me you’re joking.

As some of you have pointed out, it would be annoying if the prices were “flying around”
but I believe they said it was only briefly shown once or twice in a show.
Sure they risked being evicted from the theatre but I don’t think they broke any laws.

Maybe you haven’t noticed the amount of product placement there is in movies these days. I honestly don’t think momentary flashes of prices would have bothered me one bit.

  16. Demi

It’s really cool advertising. I’d like to travel in such ikea train.

  17. Aleksandar

Beautiful post. Thank you for sharing.

  18. angela

I think the stairs rocked. It’s kinda tricky in the eyes which I guess is meant for it.

  19. Pat

Ikea has some great ads; what they are missing, though, are real people to go with the real furniture.

Real kids for real furniture might be a great addition to their already super offerings.

  20. Jen

I love IKEA! I wish there was more advertising like this in the United States! It is great! They do a good job of showing you how to furnish a small space its great!

  21. Guitar Man

Really nice! Thats what Advertising means..Creativity in all its aspects…

The bus stop sofas would be a bad idea in my part of town. They would be stolen.
