Amazing book sculptures created by talented Canadian artist Guy Laramee.
3D Book Carvings take many hours to complete. Beautiful landscapes with mountains, caves, and structures are carved into recycled old books.

Well Spectator, these books are of no value, if you notice they are out dated to say the least and would get you no money on the resale market. Also… it’s only vandalism if it’s someone ELSE’S books. Otherwise it’s just an art form that I’m getting a little board with now that everyone is doing it.

The last one is absolutely amazing. The level of detail with the intricate cover… I would love one for decoration.

But there is no relation between the carving and the actual book…it will be more interesting if there was 1 right?

Xcallibur, so true. It would be amazing if they would carve things that actually relate to the subject of the book.

Impressive art. Would rather have had the books to read. Could just as easily have used a couple of reams of paper.

@Xcallibur and jacklyn: The blue book with the Japanese on the binding has Mt. Fuji carved into the top of it. I’d say that relates to the subject of the book…
