For everyone who didn’t read it. I agree that they’re not very pretty or useful, and walking in them looks horrible, but that’s especially what they wanted to achieve! I think it’s well done.

I like the ghastly way in which she has to walk. Sure they aren’t pretty, but it’s interesting to see the rather creepy fashion in which she has to walk in them and how her body adapts to wearing them.

The video really completes this set of pictures. It makes no sense when you simply look at the photographs – it’s strange, awkward, and incredibly impractical. The designer’s explanation on the cult of the high heel really highlights her point. The high heel can’t get any higher. Ballet heels are a pretty good example of that. This reversed heel takes everything about the high heel and exaggerates it to the point of becoming grotesque.
A fascinating commentary about fashion and beauty.
