I’m in love. This is it.. I can die now.

This is just the coolest structure.

  2. Babi

Gorgeous. This is what I would pay all my life savings for with pleasure. By the way how does the interior look like? ;-p

  3. James Anzalone

  4. Megan

    Awesome house!

@James and Babi: You guys should watch the video…

  5. João Francisco

I’m from Portugal, and in the video they say the house wasn’t inspired by the Flintstones, it was his father that one day saw the stones and decided to build a house there, then some pictures ended up online and people started wondering if it was the Flintstones house in real life.

They also say they used to go there on holidays, but it’s pretty much abandoned now, suffering from vandalism and is starting to get deteriorated.

That house must be getting cold in Winter & hot in summer season?

  11. Jantra

Creative, yes. but cozy doesn’t come to mind.

  12. Pablo

@Jani I don’t know about winter, but I think the rocks must keep the house cool in summer.

  13. NW

Erm, no, the place in France is most definitely not better than this Portugese example.

  14. anon

This is absolutely spectacular architecture. I would love to have a house like this one.

  18. João Abrantes

An excellent example of adapting architecture to our world.
The power of the common man working for the architecture…

It´s quite an astonishing but at the same time disturbing look. The way the house is being squeezed between boulders is a bit claustrophobic, I can´t help but think about the power of nature when I look at it. Still, the idea is breathtakingly original. Wish I could see some pics of the interior as well.

The interior of the house is simply gorgeous! These stones are simply famously entered the interior of the house.
